Prayer and Bible Studies - Wednesdays at 6 pm
Join us on Wednesday nights for a prayer meeting and Bible study to boost your spirit and devotion midweek.
Youth and Teen - Wednesdays at 6 pm
Youth and Teen Class
"For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth." Psalm 71:5 We believe our young people are full of potential, and ready to exceed expectations if they are given a chance. Our youth meet monthly for a fun group activity and weekly for Teen Class to hear Bible truth relevant to where they are living now.
We also minister weekly to incarcerated young people at FYF, conducting Bible studies on Wednesday evenings.
Wednesdays
What We Believe
God
We believe there is one true God (1 Timothy 2:5) We believe God is eternal and is personified
in three persons Father, Son, Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, we believe he was born through a virgin birth, he lived a sinless life, he was buried and rose again then ascended to the right hand of the Father. We also believe in Jesus Christ's return to take place in the future.
(Isaiah 7:14, 1 Timothy 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Acts 1:9-11)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in those who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior.
The evidence of a Christian filled with the Holy Spirit can be read in Galatians 5:22-23
Salvation
We believe in order for a lost person to be saved they must trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ that was completed on the cross and call upon the name of Jesus Christ to save them. We believe that salvation is "by grace through faith" and "not of works". (Romans 10:13, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5)
Eternal Security
We believe that in the church age dispensation in which we live that the Christian is eternally secure after salvation.
(Ephesians 4:30, Romans 6:23, John 6:37-40)
The Bible
We believe that the Authorized King James Version of the Bible is the pure, inspired, perfect word of God preserved as God promised in Psalms 12:6-7 (Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:15-16)
The Church
We believe in two descriptions of the word "church" 1) The church as the body of Christ consisting of all who are saved (Ephesians 1:22-23)2) The church as a local assembly of believers
( This would be like the churches Paul wrote to in Romans 16:1, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Thessalonians 1:1, etc.)
Heaven and Hell
We believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places. We believe that Hell consists of a place of literal fire which will burn for all eternity and is the destination for all those who do not receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Though Hell was created for the devil and his angels it is also the place in which a person will go if they reject Jesus Christ. We believe that heaven is a literal place reserved for those who receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
