Northstar Baptist Church is a congregation of compassionate Bible-believing Christians. Our church's foremost purpose is to bring honor and glory to our Savior Jesus Christ as we are commanded in Revelation 4:11. We do this by teaching and preaching God's word exactly as we find it in the Authorized Version, the King James Bible. Our congregation seeks to serve God by obeying Galatians 6:10 in caring for each other and those in our community as we have opportunity. We are missions-minded and soul-conscious, regarding very soberly our Savior's final command to us in Matthew 28:19 and Acts 1:8. As a group, we are very family-friendly, treasuring the heritage given to us in our children (Psalm 127:3). Children of all ages are welcome in all services, but nursery is provided for any parent who wishes to use it.

I was saved at the age of six. How I squirmed on that hard church pew while my dad preached on hell and realized for the first time that it wasn't really bad people who went to hell, but sinners just like me. That night I told my dad that I HAD to get saved; he read me the scriptures and I put my faith in Jesus Christ to save me.
I was raised in a loving Christian home where my parents taught me by example how a Christian should live. As I neared the end of high school, my dreams of playing college basketball were coming true with offers from various colleges. But something happened to me my senior year that took away that desire. Walking down a hotel hallway one night at a tournament, I realized that I could not live two lives. Either I would be sold out to playing ball (and entrapped by the sin that seemed to go along with it) or I would be sold out to God. I made a decision that night that I'd rather be pleasing God and hanging out with His crowd.
After I graduated high school, I attended Pensacola Bible Institute for three years. I graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity in 2005 and married my wife shortly thereafter. Through the years, God has been so good to me. My testimony to God's goodness is basically this: "He hath done all things well."

A Few Words Regarding my Testimony
I was saved forty years ago. It has never "worn off" and I didn't "get over it"! In a faith-based home for troubled teens under the ministry of Lester Roloff, I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior. I immediately began to work in the ministry there.
Later, upon recommendation of the church, I enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College in 1977. After four years, I graduated with a theology degree and minor in Elementary Education and School Administration.
In 1981, I, along with my wife and first son, moved back to work for Bro. Lester Roloff, this time as associate pastor. After his death, in 1983, we began a ministry of planting churches and have been busy at it ever since.
Even with the trials, these forty years of work since salvation have been exceptionally wonderful, with never a dull moment! - Pastor Emeritus Ron Robinson

Our Church
What We Believe
God
We believe there is one true God (1 Timothy 2:5) We believe God is eternal and is personified
in three persons Father, Son, Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, we believe he was born through a virgin birth, he lived a sinless life, he was buried and rose again then ascended to the right hand of the Father. We also believe in Jesus Christ's return to take place in the future.
(Isaiah 7:14, 1 Timothy 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Acts 1:9-11)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in those who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior.
The evidence of a Christian filled with the Holy Spirit can be read in Galatians 5:22-23
Salvation
We believe in order for a lost person to be saved they must trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ that was completed on the cross and call upon the name of Jesus Christ to save them. We believe that salvation is "by grace through faith" and "not of works". (Romans 10:13, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5)
Eternal Security
We believe that in the church age dispensation in which we live that the Christian is eternally secure after salvation.
(Ephesians 4:30, Romans 6:23, John 6:37-40)
The Bible
We believe that the Authorized King James Version of the Bible is the pure, inspired, perfect word of God preserved as God promised in Psalms 12:6-7 (Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:15-16)
The Church
We believe in two descriptions of the word "church" 1) The church as the body of Christ consisting of all who are saved (Ephesians 1:22-23)2) The church as a local assembly of believers
( This would be like the churches Paul wrote to in Romans 16:1, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Thessalonians 1:1, etc.)
Heaven and Hell
We believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places. We believe that Hell consists of a place of literal fire which will burn for all eternity and is the destination for all those who do not receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Though Hell was created for the devil and his angels it is also the place in which a person will go if they reject Jesus Christ. We believe that heaven is a literal place reserved for those who receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
