Daniel and Holly Grotke first came to Alaska in September 2001 as missionaries.  They ministered in Fort Yukon for a year and a half before they relocated to Fairbanks.  For 15 years they were at the backbone of Northstar Baptist Church, involved in preaching, music ministry, and evangelistic trips all over the state.  In the summer of 2012, they made their first survey trip to Norway, and then began deputation in 2016.  In May 2019, they were sent out from Northstar to their new home near Oslo.  They have been ministering to local Christian fellowships and also established a church south of Oslo.
